Blueberry Bunches Winter Meadow Card

Friends, it's time for another This or That!

Today we're looking at two cards made with the beautiful Blueberry Bunches Stamp set.

Do you prefer This?

Or That?

I have to confess that I can't decide! Although they both use the same image from the stamp set, the effect is quite different.

Can you guess which patterned paper I used on the card with the Blueberry Bushel card base? It's Winter Meadow, a carry-over from the holiday catalogue, which is happily sticking around for awhile yet!

I love that this gorgeous paper can be used year-round! I attached a 2" x 5" strip of it to a 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" strip of Garden Green Cardstock. Then I adhered them to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Blueberry Bushel Cardstock card base. I also added a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock panel to the card's interior as a writing panel.

Next, I used Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the largest circle from Garden Green Cardstock and the 2nd largest circle from Basic White Cardstock. I also cut a small circle from Granny Apple Green Cardstock.

Here are the Stylish Shapes Dies, my go-to dies for just about any project for their nested circles, squares/diamonds, and chevron labels:

I stamped the smaller blueberry image from the Blueberry Bunches Stamp Set onto the white circle in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I also stamped my sentiments in the same ink onto a scrap of Basic White Cardstock, then cut it out with Paper Snips scissors.

I've tried a lot of craft scissors over the years, but Paper Snips are my favourite. They provide precision for fussy cutting, yet also the ability to create smooth curves as I cut. Their price is going up as of May 1st, so now is a great time to get a pair - or two!

Using Blueberry Bushel & Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends™, I coloured the berry image. To keep it simple, I used the lighter markers to quickly colour the picture, then added shading with the other marker by tracing the lines inside each image.

After adhering my two circles, and my sentiment to the Granny Apple Green circle, I attached all circles to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals™. The finishing touch was Blueberry Bushel embellishments from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack.
