Share a Milkshake Artistic Mix Decorative Masks Card & Blog Hop

Hello from alongside the tidal Skutik (St Croix) River! I'm located in Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada - a border town just across from Calais, Maine, USA. This beautiful area is connected to the Bay of Fundy, home of the world's highest tides. It's the traditional territory and home of the Passamaquoddy, and I'm grateful they share it with us.

Thank you for joining us on our blog hop across the Stampin' Up!® world. Contributors are all members of the fantastic Demonstrator Training Program organized by Kylie & Bruno Bertucci in Australia. A big thank you to our fabulous leaders, Kylie & Bruno!

Today we're featuring cards we've made to say thank you to our lovely customers. Just click on the Blog Hop Links at the end of this post to see more cards.

My June customer card features the Share a Milkshake Stamp Set & Dies, plus the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks. I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post.

To make this card, I started by using the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks. I placed my 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Basic White Cardstock panel on scrap paper, then used washi tape to secure the Mask over it.

With circular motions, and starting just off the top left edge of my panel, I used my Blending Brush to add Bubble Bath Ink to the top 3rd of the panel, on the diagonal. I repeated the process with Lemon Lolly Ink, first overlapping with Bubble Bath Ink and then continuing down the panel. I finished with Balmy Blue Ink, overlapping with Lemon Lolly first and then finishing the rest of the panel.

Here are the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks, which I find have been a bit overlooked in the catalogue but have lots of creative possibilities. They're budget-friendly, too!

Next, I did die cutting. Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, I cut the 2nd largest circle from Basic White Cardstock, the 2nd smallest circle from Bubble Bath Cardstock, and the smallest circle from Holographic Trio Specialty Paper.

I stamped my sentiment from the Share a Milkshake Stamp Set in Berry Burst Ink, before continuing with die cutting. I love this super-cute stamp set:

Using the Share a Milkshake Dies, I cut:
  • waffle cone from Crumb Cake Cardstock
  • one ice cream each from Bubble Bath & Lemon Lolly Cardstocks
  • sauce from Balmy Blue Cardstock
  • whipped cream from Basic White Cardstock
  • cherry from Soft Shimmer Paper Combo Pack (Berry Burst)
  • spoon from Holographic Trio Specialty Paper
Here's the terrific Share a Milkshake Die set, which is so much fun to use. The combos are endless!

To assemble, I first used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to create the ice cream cone, slipping the spoon through the cut in the top layer of ice cream.

Next, I adhered my blended panel to a 3 3/4" x 5" Berry Burst Cardstock panel. I added them both to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Crumb Cake Cardstock card base with Stampin' Dimensionals™.

To finish the card, I layered on the circles and ice cream cone, popping up some of the elements with Stampin' Dimensionals™. Then I embellished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I hope you enjoyed this project - and that it will inspire you to give the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks a try!
