Friends, today I'm sharing my Card of the Month. I'm sending the pieces to make it FREE to anyone who places an order or purchases a class from me this month.
While it's kind of late in the month to share this card, I'm doing so now to highlight some great items that will soon retire. They'll be discontinued on May 1st or whenever they sell out, whichever comes first.
Here's my card:
To make this card, I started by arranging a 3 3/4" x 2 3/4" strip of Bee Mine DSP at the top of a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock panel. Then I added a 3 3/4" x 1 1/4" strip of the same DSP to the bottom of the panel. However, I did not stick down either panel.
I used the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set to stamp a sentiment in Sweet Sorbet Ink between the two DSP pieces. Not sticking down the pieces meant I could flip over the panel and stamp again if I wasn't happy with it the first time. I like to leave an option for a second chance!
I then adhered the DSP. Here's the whimsical Bee Mine DSP, which retires soon:
Next, I attached the panel to a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic Black Cardstock panel.
I wrapped a length of Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon across the front and secured to the back of the panel with Mini Glue Dots™. I then fed a length of the ribbon through the piece on the panel and tied it once, trimming as desired.
The beautiful Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon is retiring soon, too, so now is a great time to get it:
To make the ladybug, I used the Ladybug Builder Punch to punch out the body from Basic Black Cardstock and the wings from 2022-2024 In Color Textured Specialty Paper. I love the shine in this paper's grain!

To finish the card, I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to add the ladybug to the card and the completed panel to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Parakeet Party Cardstock card base.
