Bright Skies Sprinkled with Love Card

Friends, how's your weather today?

It's predicted to be cloudy here, after a day of light showers yesterday. So this seems a good time to share a card that involves clouds and raindrops.

Here's my card:

The idea for this card came from a card with the same layout - but entirely different colours. It was made by American demonstrator Christy Fulk. I simply changed the colours to suit my own needs.

To make this card, I started by using the raindrop stamp from Bright Skies Stamp Set to stamp in Boho Blue Ink repeatedly across a 3" x 4" piece of Basic White Cardstock. It's not important to be precise, as little smudges and imperfections make the raindrops look more realistic. So, no fuss!

I then stamped onto Basic White Cardstock two daisy-style flowers in Calypso Coral Ink, along with two sets of matching greenery in Old Olive Ink.

From there, I used the Bright Skies Dies to cut out:

  • the two Calypso Coral flowers
  • the two sets of Old Olive greenery
  • three tulips from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
  • three sets of tulip greenery from Old Olive Cardstock
  • one set of Old Olive Cardstock greenery 3" across, with cloud/grassy hill shapes cut into the top
  • one large cloud from Basic White Cardstock
I then stamped my sentiment in Calypso Coral Ink onto the left side of the white cloud.

With Blending Brushes, I added Boho Blue Ink to a 2" x 6" panel of Basic White Cardstock. I then stamped two clouds with lines onto it in Night of Navy Ink. I cut out the clouds with Bright Skies Dies.

To assemble the card, I started with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Daffodil Delight Cardstock card base. I adhered a 4" x 5 1/4" Night of Navy Cardstock panel to it, then added a 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" strip of 2023-2025 In Color™ 6"x6" DSP to the left side.

I adhered my raindrop panel to a 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" panel of Boho Blue Cardstock. Then I layered on all of my die cuts, popping up some of them with Stampin' Dimensionals™. My final step was embellishing with Ombre Matte Decorative Dots.

Thanks so much for joining me for this project. Please come back tomorrow for my final Bright Skies card!

Before I go, I have to tell you about a terrific & unique opportunity!
