Friends, today I have my 3rd and final Bright Skies card to share. In case you missed the previous ones, they are here:
Here's my card for today:
For this card, I wanted to use some Gold Foil - so I made up a simple design to allow for that.
To start, I used Blending Brushes on a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Basic White Cardstock panel. I first blended Daffodil Delight Ink onto the bottom half of the panel, using circular strokes. Then I added Calypso Coral Ink to the top half of the panel, blending the two colours in the middle. With this bright background, the gold foil would really shine!
Next, I stamped my sun from the Bright Skies Stamp Set in Daffodil Delight Ink onto a scrap of Basic White Cardstock.
I then used the Bright Skies Dies to cut out:
- the stamped sun
- a large cloud from Basic White Cardstock
- two small clouds from Gold Mercury Vellum Specialty DSP
- five raindrops from Gold Foil Sheets
Gold Mercury Vellum has become one of my favourite items! Just a little of it goes a long way to add a touch of elegance to any project:
I then stamped my sentiment in Calypso Coral Ink onto the white cloud.
To assemble, I added my blended panel to a 3 3/4" x 5" Crumb Cake Cardstock panel. With Stampin' Dimensionals™, I attached the panel to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Crumb Cake Cardstock card base.
Finishing the card from there was easy! I simply added all the die cuts, popping them up with Stampin' Dimensionals™ as desired. I was really happy with the bright and shiny results!
