Beach Day Surf Board Birthday Card

Friends, I've been visiting with my parents at their beach-side home over the past few days. So I'm sharing a third Beach Day card today.

This card is a quick & colourful make. To start, I used Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a large circle from Basic Black Cardstock and a label from Basic White Cardstock. Then I stamped my sentiment from the Beach Day Stamp Set onto the label in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I also stamped 3 surf boards in the same ink onto Basic White Cardstock. Then I coloured them with Watercolor Pencil Assortment 2, using Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, and Coastal Cabana. (But you could use any of the colours.) I used Blender Pens to quickly brush across them and smooth out the colour. Then I cut out the images with the Beach Day Dies.

Using Stampin' Seal, I adhered the label to the bottom of the black circle. I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to add the surf boards, slightly overlapping the top of the sentiment.

To assemble, I started by adhering a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" piece of Full of Life DSP (pictured above) to a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of Basic White Cardstock. Any piece of the super-colourful DSP would work - but I liked best the multicolour sunburst pattern. This DSP is luckily 15% off thru August 31st!

With Stampin' Dimensionals, I layered the DSP panel and the circle with surf boards onto a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Basic Black Cardstock card base. To finish, I embellished with Adhesive-Backed Dots for Days, then added a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock writing panel to the inside of the card.
