Cheerful Daisies Birthday Card

Friends, today I'm starting a new series featuring the lovely Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set and Die Set.

I really love these cards, because my favourite flower is the daisy. I love how it is so cheery and straightforward. What's your favourite flower?

Here's today's card:

To make this card, started by stamping two of the daisy images from the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set onto Basic White Cardstock. I used Flirty Flamingo for the daisy outlines, Petal Pink for the flowers' interior, and Pretty Peacock for the centres. Then I used the Cheerful Daisies Dies to cut them out. 

With the Dies, I also cut a section of greenery and two stems from Pretty Peacock Cardstock. In addition, I cut a label from Petal Pink Cardstock. I stamped my sentiment onto it in Pretty Peacock Ink.

Here are the beautiful Cheerful Daisies Stamps & Dies:

To assemble, I began by adhering a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" panel of Hello, Irresistible DSP to a 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" Calypso Coral Cardstock panel. 

I then wrapped a length of Pretty Peacock & Gold Metallic Ribbon around the panel, securing on the back with Mini Glue Dots™. I fed a small piece of ribbon through the section attached to the panel, tying once to make a flat knot, and then trimming. I adhered the panel to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card base made from Petal Pink Cardstock.

Since the Hello, Irresistible DSP has recently become unavailable and is not likely to be restocked, another paper in a similar colour could be substituted. Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP would be a great choice:

Next, I arranged the label, plus the flower and greenery pieces, on the card. When I was happy with the layout, I adhered the stems and left-most flower with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to add the second flower and label. Then I tucked the greenery under the label with a Mini Glue Dot™.

My final step was to embellish with Loose Frosted Dots.
