Sweet Songbirds Tea Boutique Card in Parakeet Party

Friends, today we have the 2nd card in our series featuring the Sweet Songbirds Bundle, to welcome spring. These designs are ones by American demonstrator Ronda Wade that I tweaked. If you missed yesterday's card, using the beautiful Fancy Flora DSP, click here.

Let's get right to today's card, which is green for St Patrick's Day:

To make this card, I started by die cutting the 2nd largest scalloped rectangle from Basic White Cardstock, using Scalloped Contours Dies. Then I stamped my sentiments from the Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set on it in Tuxedo Black Memento and Parakeet Party Inks. I also added the bird's feet in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Next, I stamped the bird and wing in Parakeet Party Ink onto a 3" x 2" piece of Basic White Cardstock. In order to use the cardstock economically for punching, I stamped the bird and wing as follows, then punched them out with the Songbird Builder Punch. I also stamped eyes in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

To assemble the card, I started with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Basic White Thick Cardstock card base. I added two pieces of Tea Boutique DSP with measurements of 2" x 4" and 3" x 4", leaving a little space between them in the middle. I really appreciate the Tea Boutique DSP, because it can be used for tea-related projects as well as for so many others. Here's a look at its many patterns:

I layered on the scalloped rectangle and bird using Stampin' Dimensionals, then also attached the bird with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to add the wing. As a final touch, I embellished with different colours of 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
