Sweet Songbirds Tahitian Tide Card

Friends, today we have the 4th and final card in our series featuring the Sweet Songbirds Bundle. Can you believe that tomorrow is the first day of spring? I hope you'll have the chance to go outside and spot some songbirds in the trees!

These cards were designed by American demonstrator Ronda Wade, and I tweaked them to suit my taste and available supplies. If you missed the other cards, you can find them here, here, and here.

Today's card features Tahitian Tide, a colour I have not often had a chance to use:

To make this card, I started by die cutting the 2nd largest scalloped rectangle from Basic White Cardstock, using Scalloped Contours Dies. Then I stamped my sentiments from the Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set on it in Tuxedo Black Memento and Tahitian Tide Inks. I also added the bird's feet in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. 

Next, I stamped the bird and wing in Tahitian Tide Ink onto a 3" x 2" piece of Basic White Cardstock. In order to use the cardstock economically for punching, I stamped the bird and wing as follows, then punched them out with the Songbird Builder Punch. I also stamped eyes in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

To assemble the card, I started with a 4 1/4" x 11" Basic White Thick Cardstock card base. I added a 2" x 4" strip of Tea Boutique DSP and a 3" x 4" piece of 2022-2024 In Color 6" x 6" DSP, leaving a little space between them in the middle. 

I layered on the scalloped rectangle and bird using Stampin' Dimensionals, then also attached the bird with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to add the wing. As a final touch, I embellished with different colours of 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
