Splendid Thoughts Celebrate Card

A very Happy New Year's Eve to you, friends! It's a wonderful time to celebrate all of the accomplishments of 2022 - large and small, they all count! And so today I have a card for you that can be used for the New Year or any celebratory occasion.

This card features the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and Splendid Day Specialty DSP, which are both retiring on January 4th. Ce jeu d'estampes est également disponible en français. I'll include a clickable photo supply list for you at the end of this post.

To make the card, I first stamped one of the leafy stamps in Petal Pink ink repeatedly, and off the edges, onto a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Petal Pink card base. I used Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out a Soft Sea Foam label, then stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black. I also cut out 4 semi-circles from the DSP with the Splendid Stems Dies. 

I used Paper Snips to distress the edges of a 3" x 4 1/2" Basic White panel, then adhered the semi-circles. I tied Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding around the panel, then adhered it to the card base. I added the label with Stampin' Dimensionals and tucked an Open Leaf Trinket underneath using a Mini Glue Dot.
