This summer, we saw some gigantic, several-inch-diameter toadstools near our cottage in southern Ontario. I think they could have been used as the models for the toadstool stamp and die in the Storybook Gnomes Suite! (Ces produits sont également disponibles en français.)
Today's card, the third in our series on this trendy Suite, features a giant toadstool house. When I see one of these, I automatically think of Smurfs and hear their jingle playing in my head! Does this happen to you, too, friends?
If you missed the previous two gnome cards, you can find them here and here. Today's toadstool card is below:
Here's how to make this card, which can be tailored to any occasion, including Christmas:
- With Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp sentiment from Kindest Gnomes stamp set onto 3/4” x 3 1/2” Basic White scrap. Close ink pad and clean stamp.
- Cut a toadstool from Storybook Gnomes DSP using Gnomes Dies.
- Prepare a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” card base from Calypso Coral Cardstock. Burnish with bone folder.
- Attach a 3” x 3 1/2” panel of Storybook Gnomes DSP to a 3 1/4” x 3 3/4” panel of Soft Suede Cardstock. Add panels near top of card base.
- Attach stamped label to back of toadstool with glue dot.
- Add toadstool and label to card base with dimensionals.
- Add Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems as desired.
Alternative:
- In step 2, stamp and colour toadstool image instead of cutting from DSP.
