Potions & Spells Halloween Cards

Friends, Halloween is a favourite at our house! How about yours?

Steve and I always dress up in our costumes to give away treats - and this year, we'll have Narnia the Wire Fox puppy joining us in her Superdog garb! I'll try to take some photos tonight to share with you.

Here are the three cards we made at last night's online Halloween-themed class:

The class was based on the Potions & Spells Bundle - such fun to work with! I'll include a full Supply List at the end of this post. 

For the cauldron card, I based my design on one by US demonstrator Tammy Shaia. Then I added my own touches. 

I think my favourite bit is probably the embossed Gorgeous Grape panel, which I created with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.

I absolutely loved the raven on this card! So cute - and I liked the effect of colouring the bird purple instead of a more realistic gray or black. The Gorgeous Grape makes the colour pop! This design is based on one by my friend in the USA, Alejandra Gomez.

When I made these cards, I realized I did not have Gorgeous Grape markers. So I used my Watercolor Pencils (Assortment 2). I simply coloured the items quickly, then I used Blender Pens on top of the colour to even it out. Bonus - the Blender Pens make the colour more intense, too!

For this card, I was inspired by a design by Kimberley Morris in the USA. I wanted a brighter colour mix, so I used a more vibrant background. I really like the effect!
