Cafe Card with Easy Watercolour Detail

Friends, I've been thwarted from doing Facebook Live demos for the past two weeks, due to circumstances beyond my control. So today and tomorrow, I will be sharing photos and instructions for the remaining two cards in my FREE June class.

All 3 cards in my FREE class feature the Latte Love Bundle. I love its cafe vibe! When you place a qualifying order in June, you'll also receive my Latte Love Card of the Month to make. In case you missed my previous two cards, here they are:

Here's today's card:

Want in on the FREE class by mail? Simply place an order with me (min. $60 before tax/shipping) by June 30th. No need to request the FREE class - I will send it to everyone who qualifies. Then look for your happy mail! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now for the instructions for today's card. First, I used Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a label from Basic White Cardstock. I stamped my sentiment from the Latte Love Bundle onto it in Pecan Pie Ink.

On another scrap of Basic White Cardstock, I stamped the latte cup image using the same ink. This Latte Love Bundle is terrific for those who love coffee - or just cafe culture. And it's 10% off just until June 30th:

Next, I inked an acrylic block by lowering a corner of it onto my Lemon Lolly ink pad. Then I used a fine-tipped Water Painter to drop water onto the block, mixing with the brush to make watercolour ink. I then loaded the brush with my new watercolour ink and used it to colour the rim and handle of the cup. (This is a great way to colour an item quickly if you don't have the coordinating marker.) I used the Bundle's Dies to cut out the cup.

To assemble, I attached a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" piece of A Little Latte DSP to a 3 3/4" x 5" Pecan Pie Cardstock panel.

I then wrapped a length of Natural 3/8" Polka Dot Trim around the panels, securing on the back with Mini Glue Dots™. This fairly rigid trim is a lovely, earthy yet decorative touch to add to any card:

With Stampin' Dimensionals™, I layered on my stamped images, then added the panel to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Lemon Lolly Cardstock card base. I was happy to give this card a Lemon Lolly focus, as it's such a beautiful, cheery colour.

As finishing touches, I added a Linen Thread bow and embellished with Iridescent Foil Gems.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you enjoyed this simple project and will be inspired to try out this fun Bundle. Please check out my Special Offers below, including a Christmas in July Paper Share!
