Hot Air Balloon Blended Clouds Card

Friends, today I'm beginning a series featuring the fun Hot Air Balloon Bundle.

Here's today's card:

To make this card, I started by cutting out a cloud, using the Bright Skies Dies. (If you have the Cloud Punch, that would work well, too.)

Then I placed the cloud at and over the edges of the top left corner of a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock panel. Using Blending Brushes, I added Pool Party Ink in a circular motion, around the cloud and overlapping its edges. Once I was satisfied with the result, I moved the cloud to other positions on the panel, until I had covered the paper with cloud shapes and ink.

Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon Stamp Set in Fresh Freesia Ink, onto the bottom left corner of the panel.

I adhered the blended panel to a 4" x 5 1/4" Fresh Freesia Cardstock panel. I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to attach the panels to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Basic White Thick Cardstock card base. 

I used the Hot Air Balloon Dies to cut two of the smaller balloon baskets from Pool Party Cardstock, plus two balloons from the Lighter Than Air DSP. 

The Hot Air Balloon Stamps & Dies are sticking around, but the Lighter Than Air DSP retires at the end of April. Now's a great time to stock up! Here's the DSP:

To finish the card, I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals™ to adhere the balloons and baskets to the card. I also embellished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I then added bows made with Simply Elegant Trim. This terrific gold & silver trim is retiring soon, but it's still available as I write:
