Friends, can you believe January is almost over? I'm not sure where it went, but it seemed to evaporate for me!
So just today, I realized I'd never posted my January card of the month...oops!!

To make the card, I started by using Designer Tags Dies to cut a tag from Basic White Cardstock. Then I stamped my sentiment in Granny Apple Green Ink.

Next, I tied a length of Lemon Lolly ribbon from the Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack through the tag.
I then embellished with Opaque Faceted Gems, another item available for FREE with $60 spend during Sale-A-Bration.
To assemble the Z-fold card, I started with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Daffodil Delight Cardstock card base. I scored it at 4 1/4" and then again at 2 1/8".
Basically, what the scoring is doing is allowing you to fold the card base in half (as usual), then to fold one of the two panels in half again - but in the opposite direction of the first fold, to make the Z. (See above.) A bone folder really helps to make the folds crisp.
I then adhered panels of Meandering Meadows DSP to the card base. To make the panels, I took a 6" x 6" sheet of DSP, then cut it down to 5 1/4" tall. I then cut the sheet into 3 strips: two 1 7/8" strips for the left side of the card plus one 2 1/4" strip for the right side of the card.
To finish, I added a 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" strip of Basic White Cardstock to the card, to provide a surface for writing.
