Easy Thanksgiving Card

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

This is one of my favourite holidays. It's a chance to enjoy the brilliant autumn colours and eat some delish harvest dishes. Mmm...what's not to love?

It's also a wonderful time to take a moment and consider what we're thankful for. I find that when I'm grateful, everyday challenges tend to go back in their rightful place, and I see things more clearly.

What makes you feel thankful? Maybe the special people in your life, your community, your work or hobbies, where you live, the beauty of this amazing planet and its creatures - or so much more! I hope you'll get creative in your thinking and fill in the blanks with what you're grateful for.

In case there's a special someone you're thankful for, I have a card today that, I hope, will fit the bill:

This easy make can be created in just a few minutes. My first step was to cut a tag from Very Vanilla Cardstock, using the Tailor Made Tags Dies.

I then stamped my sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp Set in Copper Clay Ink. I didn't have a specific stamp set dedicated to Thanksgiving, but I thought this sentiment fit the occasion very nicely.

I like stamp sets like Something Fancy, because they can be used year-round. With its many versatile sentiments, I think this set is a winner:

To assemble, I first adhered a 2" x 5 1/2" strip of All About Autumn DSP to a 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" strip of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. I don't often have occasion to use this rich orange colour, so I was happy it matched my card so nicely.

A word about the All About Autumn DSP: it proved so popular that it sold out right away. (Helpful Hint: this is a great reminder to order as early as possible, to avoid disappointment.) But good news! The DSP is projected to be back in stock the week of Oct 9. If you need some, let me know and I'll be glad to message you when it's back!

Here's a look at this gorgeous paper, which has foil detailing on one side of every sheet:

I then adhered the paper strips to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Copper Clay Cardstock card base. I also added a 3 3/4" x 5" Very Vanilla Cardstock panel to the interior.

Using Stampin' Dimensionals™, I attached the tag. I also added a bow made from Copper Ribbon, out of the Copper & Natural Ribbon Combo Pack. This ribbon is projected to be back the week of Oct 23. Just let me know if you'd like a message when it's available.

If you need some similarly coloured ribbon right away, Copper Clay 3/8" Textured Ribbon is a lovely choice, with a pattern that catches the light:

To finish the card, I embellished with Classic Matte Dots in Very Vanilla.
