Stars at Night & A Walk in the Forest Christmas Card

Friends, have you been wanting to give back this holiday season?

Today I'll be using the new A Walk in the Forest paper in my Christmas card. Not only is this paper fabulous, but Stampin' Up!® is donating $4 CAD from every package purchased in Canada to the Salvation Army. So we can give back twice - with the donation AND by giving away our cards!

Here's a peek at A Walk in the Forest. I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post.

My card today is a pretty simple one that can be easily modified, as well as used to make multiples. (Perfect for sending holiday cards!)

I'm using a Christmas sentiment, but if you don't celebrate Christmas, just substitute an appropriate stamp instead. The paper can still be used, with its many winter-oriented prints.

Here's my card:

To make this card, I started by using the Something Fancy Dies to cut out labels in 3 different sizes, from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, Old Olive Cardstock, and Basic White Cardstock.

I stamped my sentiment from the Stars at Night Stamp Set onto the Basic White label in Pecan Pie Ink. Then I adhered all three labels together using Stampin' Seal.

Besides lovely sentiments, the Stars at Night Stamp Set also contains some fabulous star images. I'll be using this stamp set, along with the dies and embossing folder, in my upcoming Stars at Night Online Class. (Click here for details!)

Next, I attached a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of A Walk in the Forest DSP to a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of Basic White Cardstock. I then used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to add them to a 4 1/4" x 11" Garden Green Cardstock card base. I also adhered a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock panel to the card's interior as a writing surface.

To finish the card, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the stamped label to the card front. Then I tied a bow in Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon and added it to the card with a Mini Glue Dot™. My final step was to embellish with sparkly Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
