Friends, today is my dad's birthday, so I have a celebratory card to share with you. Happy Birthday, Dad!
The card features the Beautiful Balloons Bundle and Bright & Beautiful DSP. I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post.

To make this card, I started by colouring a small length of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon. Using the brush tip of Bubble Bath Stampin' Blends (Dark), I gently brushed across the ribbon, then set it aside to dry.
This ribbon is one of my favourites! I love how it can be coloured - and it adds bling to any project. It's not in the Annual Catalogue, but it's available as an Online Exclusive.
Next, I used the Beautiful Balloons Dies to cut a:
- large star from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- small star from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock
- small star from Berry Burst Cardstock
- tag from Basic White Cardstock
I used my Take Your Pick tool to remove the small images from the dies, then poked out the tiny confetti bits from the tag.
Using the Beautiful Balloons Stamp set, I stamped my sentiment onto the tag in Blueberry Bushel ink.
To assemble, I adhered a 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" strip of Bright & Beautiful DSP to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Azure Afternoon Cardstock card base.
Tip: Purchasing a 2023 New Core Colours Cardstock pack is a great way to get all of the new Core Colours - including all those used in this card (except white) - without breaking the bank!
The Bright & Beautiful DSP uses 10 of this year's 11 new Core Colours. (The only one it doesn't contain is Pecan Pie.) So it's a great way to try them out! Check out all the cool patterns:
Next, I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to adhere my tag to a 3" x 3 3/4" piece of Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper. To adhere the vellum, I placed Mini Glue Dots™ on the back, under the tag, so that they would not show through.
With Stampin' Dimensionals™ and Mini Glue Dots™, I attached the stars. Then I fed the coloured ribbon through the hole in the tag and tied it. As a final step, I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
