Playing in the Rain Fresh as a Daisy Turtle Card

Friends, today I'm starting a series featuring the super-cute Playing in the Rain Stamps & Dies. Have you tried them yet? They're hard to resist!

My cards will, I hope, demonstrate some ways to use these lovely sets without having a matching DSP. There are so many possibilities!

Here's today's card, with the cheerful little turtle:

To make this card, I started by using the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut a label from Basic White Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Playing in the Rain Stamp Set onto it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post.

I then stamped the turtle, also in Tuxedo Black, onto a Basic White Cardstock scrap. Using Stampin' Blends™ in Old Olive and Daffodil Delight, I coloured the turtle, then used the Playing in the Rain Dies to cut it out.

To assemble, I adhered a 3" x 4 1/2" panel of Fresh as a Daisy DSP to a 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" panel of Garden Green Cardstock. With Stampin' Dimensionals™, I added the panels to a Basic White Note Card.

Next, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to layer on the stamped label and turtle. My final step was embellishing with Loose Frosted Dots.
