Sweet Songbirds Special Day Card

Friends, are you enjoying all the lovely birdsong these days? I love hearing - and seeing - all the sparrows, robins, and cardinals. It's definitely spring!

To celebrate our avian friends, I have the first in a series of Sweet Songbirds cards for you today. I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post. 

This card series highlights one of my favourite retiring colours - Mint Macaron. Make sure to get your Mint Macaron items now, as they disappear May 1st or when they sell out, whichever comes first. Here's the Mint Macaron Cardstock used in my card:

Here's how to make the card:

1. Punch the following, using Country Bouquet Punch:
• Large heart and 4 leaves from Country Floral Lane DSP
• 2 large hearts from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock 
2. Punch the following, using Songbird Builder Punch:
• 1 bird and 1 wing from Mint Macaron Cardstock
• 1 bird mouth from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock 
• 1 bird breast from Basic White Cardstock
3. Using Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set, stamp sentiment in Sweet Sorbet Ink onto a 1/2” x 3 1/2” Petal Pink Cardstock scrap.
4. Cut at an angle across right edge of sentiment. 
5. Stamp eyes onto bird in Mossy Meadow Ink.
6. Adhere 3” strips of Fine Art Ribbon to a 3 1/4” x 4 1/2” Basic White Cardstock panel using Mini Glue Dots™.
7. Adhere panel to a 4” x 5 1/4” panel of Country Floral Lane DSP.
8. Layer on hearts, leaves, parts of bird, and sentiment label. Secure with favourite adhesives and Stampin’ Dimensionals™.
9. Add panels to a 4 1/4” x 11” Mint Macaron Cardstock card base.
10. Embellish with Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
