Ladybug Builder Punch Bumblebee Fun Fold

Well, friends, that spring-y feeling with yesterday's melt didn't last long! Today we have a gentle snowfall, with fluffy flakes falling. So beautiful!

Regardless of the weather, I have another spring-themed card using the Ladybug Builder Punch for you today. If you missed yesterday's ladybug easel card, you can find it here. Today we're turning the ladybug into a bumblebee:

This card features the Ladybug Builder Punch, Hello Ladybug stamp set, and Dandy Designs DSP. (You can earn the DSP FREE through Sale-A-Bration right now!) The instructions are below, and I'll add a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post. Ce jeu d'estampes est également disponible en français.

Here are the card instructions:

  1. Cut a 5 1/2” x 11” piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock. Score at 1 3/4”, 3 1/2”, 5 1/4” and 7”. Fold 1st & 3rd lines as mountain folds and 2nd & 4th lines as valley folds.
  2. Adhere a 1 1/2” x 5 1/4” Dandy Designs DSP strip to first fold section.
  3. Adhere a 3 3/4” x 5 1/4” DSP panel to largest cardstock section.
  4. Adhere 2” Basic White Square to 2 1/4” Calypso Coral square. Attach to centre of large DSP panel.
  5. Cut two pieces of Mango Melody Cardstock: 1 1/4” x 5 1/4” and 2” square. Emboss with Hive 3D Embossing Folder.
  6. Adhere embossed Mango Melody strip to 3rd fold section.
  7. Adhere embossed Mango Melody square to a 2 1/4” Basic White square.
  8. On a second 2” Basic White square, stamp sentiment in Tuxedo Black.
  9. Cut a 5” x 2 1/2” section of Calypso Coral Cardstock and score at 2 1/2. Fold to make a mini “card”. Adhere with Tear & Tape to 1st and 4th identically sized folded sections of card base. (The first section will be covered with DSP, and the 4th will be Calypso Coral.)
  10. Adhere embossed square and stamped square to mini “card.”
  11. To make bumblebee, use punch to create a Basic Black body. Cut a 1/4” wide strip of Mango Melody Cardstock. Adhere strip in small sections to body, to make bee’s stripes. Trim with paper Snips.
  12. Score a 4” piece of Vellum, at 3/8” and fold carefully. Punch wings, being careful not to cut fold. Adhere folded piece to bumblebee body with a Mini Glue Dot. Lift wings slightly to create a 3D effect.
  13. Using dimensionals, attach bee to mini “card” on card front.
  14. Add Glossy Dots to card as desired.
The card looks like this when opened as a single, long panel:

The Dandy Designs DSP that I used is a fantastic deal! It includes a whopping 48 pages of 12"x12" paper and is available with a $120 spend during Sale-A-Bration:
