Friends, how's your weather? It's a snow day here in Saint Stephen - schools are closed and the white stuff has been coming down all day. Blogging this card is my last task before I go out for a romp in the snow with my daughter.
So it seemed appropriate to make a snowy sort of card today:
My card uses a Bundle called Chics Saisons (French version) or Season of Chic (English version), along with the coordinating DSP from the year-round Texture Chic Suite. I'll include a clickable photo supply list for you at the end of this post. Since I worked in the bilingualism field for a time, have friends with whom I exchange letters in French, and my daughter is in French immersion, I decided to purchase the bundle in French. I love that we can choose the language we prefer with most Stampin' Up!® products.
I started by stamping my sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink onto a 3/4" x 3 1/2" scrap of Basic White Cardstock. Then I used my Embossing Buddy from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to remove any moisture from some scraps of Evening Evergreen Cardstock, stamped 3 snowflakes in Versamark Ink onto them, added White Embossing Powder from the Basics Embossing Powders, and used my Heat Tool to emboss. Using my dies, I cut out the snowflake images, a couple more intricate die-cut snowflakes in Basic White Cardstock, and the mesh in Pool Party Cardstock.
Onto a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White Cardstock panel I layered a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of Texture Chic Specialty DSP (part of the Texture Chic Suite that includes the Bundle I used). With Stampin' Dimensionals, I added the panels to a 4 1/4" x 11" Evening Evergreen card base. I also adhered a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock panel to the card's interior.
The rest was decorating. I layered the various die cuts and the sentiment onto my card base, securing them with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin' Dimensionals. As a finishing touch, I added a bow from White Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Here's a look at some of the beautiful, year-round patterns included in the Texture Chic Specialty DSP:
There are also coordinating Texture Chic Memories & More items, which make it easy to assemble a quick card:
