Friends, today I have for you the 3rd card in our series featuring the colourful baby wipe technique. If you missed the other 2 cards, you can find them here and here.
Today's card features a cheery butterfly from the Amazing Silhouettes Stamp Set, along with the Amazing Thanks Dies and 2022-2024 In Color items. You'll find a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post.
Here's today's card:
To make the card, here's what you need to do:
Stack 4 layers of baby wipes in an empty stamp box.
Using Orchid Oasis and Sweet Sorbet Ink Refills, add drops of ink to create patches across the baby wipes, arranging different colours as desired. Continue until an area a bit larger than your stamp has been completely covered with ink. This is your “stamp pad.”
Ink up stamp on baby wipe “stamp pad.” Pressing hard and/or repeatedly will ensure you obtain a clear, deeply-coloured image, while pressing more lightly will give you pastel hues. Try a few test images on scrap paper.
Stamp image onto 2 1/2” Basic White circle cut with Stylish Shapes Dies. When finished stamping, clean stamp, block, and stamp box by placing under running water.
Cut a 3” circle from Orchid Oasis 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper with Stylish Shapes Dies.
Score a 7 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock in landscape orientation at 4 1/4”. Fold and burnish with Bone Folder.
Affix a 2 3/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Orchid Oasis Cardstock to smaller panel (front) of card base.
Adhere a 1 1/2” x 5 1/2” piece of Sweet Sorbet DSP to bottom of larger panel (interior) of card base so that it is visible from the outside of the card.
Glue Orchid Oasis circle to front of card base, overlapping bottom of panel.
Affix stamped image to card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
With Amazing Thanks Dies, cut out “You Are Amazing” words from Basic White Cardstock and adhere to card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Add 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to card as desired.
