Friends, this weekend I have a mini technique class for you. From today thru Sunday, we'll be looking at different cards that use the baby wipe technique.
For each card, I'll be using 2022-2024 In Color items, along with the Amazing Silhouettes Stamp Set and Amazing Silhouettes Dies. I'll include a clickable photo supply list for you each day, at the end of the post.
Here's the first card:
To make the card, just follow these instructions:
Stack 4 layers of baby wipes in an empty stamp box. Using Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet, and Starry Sky Ink Refills, add drops of ink to create patches across the wipes, arranging different colours as desired. Continue until an area a bit larger than your stamp is completely covered with ink. This is your “stamp pad.”
Ink up stamp on baby wipe “stamp pad.” Pressing hard and/or repeatedly will ensure you obtain a clear, deeply-coloured image, while pressing more lightly will give you pastel hues. Try a few test images on scrap paper.
Stamp image onto 2 1/2” x 5 1/2” piece of Basic White Card Stock. When finished stamping, clean stamp, block, and stamp box by placing under running water.
Cut out stamped image with Paper Snips, leaving a narrow white edge around it.
Fold an 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. Burnish with Bone Folder.
Flip over a 2 1/2” x 5 1/4” piece of Starry Sky In Color DSP and a 1 1/2” x 5 1/4” piece of Starry Sky Cardstock. Attach on back with household tape. Glue to card base with your favourite adhesive.
Affix stamped image to card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
With Amazing Thanks Dies, cut out the “thanks” shadow background from Sweet Sorbet Glimmer Paper and the “thanks” word from Basic White Cardstock. Use Take Your Pick Tool as necessary to remove die cuts from dies.
Adhere word to background using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Using Mini Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue, affix “thanks” to card.
Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels to card as desired.
