At Christmastime, I find the bright red & green striping of candy canes to be very appealing. Not only are the candies a fresh, sweet treat, but they also look wonderful on the tree or as decorations at home and work.
Today's card features candy canes and a striped die from the Sweetest Christmas Suite. While the DSP I used to cut out the candy cane is now sold out, the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set can be used to stamp two candy canes in red & green. (Ce produit est également disponible en français.) And even better, the Candy Canes Dies are on sale right now!
I'll include a clickable photo supply list for you at the end of this post. But for now, here's the card:
This card is a slight twist on one by my friend, Genevieve Ko. (Thanks, Gen!) To make it, I started by stamping one candy cane in Real Red, then using the dies to cut it out, plus another candy cane from the Sweetest Christmas DSP. (Now that the DSP is sold out, I'd suggest simply stamping a second candy cane in either Real Red or Garden Green.) I layered the candy canes on a 2 1/2" x 4" vellum rectangle, then added a bow from the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack, securing with a Mini Glue Dot.
