Last weekend, we went to the Ganong Nature Park, where the tidal Skutik/St Croix River meets Passamaquoddy Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. What a beautiful spot! There were lots of different shells along the beach even at high tide, when we were there. So I have seashells on my mind.
That's why today I have a seashell Christmas card for you:
This seasonal card features the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder, Decorated with Happiness Stamp Set, and Painted Christmas DSP. I started by using my die-cut machine to cut a Very Vanilla Cardstock tag with Tailor Made Tags Dies. Then I stamped my sentiment with Real Red ink.
To make the large seashell die cut, I first embossed a piece of Pearlescent Specialty Paper with the Seashells Embossing Folder. Then I ran the embossed panel through the die-cut machine again, with the largest Seaside Seashells die lined up on the design. Presto, instant embossed seashell cut-out!
I flipped over two matching 1" x 5 1/2" Painted Christmas DSP strips, then using household tape attached them on the back to either side of a 2" x 5 1/2" Shaded Spruce Cardstock strip. Next, I adhered the newly made panel to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Very Vanilla card base. I layered on the seashell die cut and the stamped tag, then attached a bow made from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack. (Bonus - both colours match the DSP!) Finally, I added Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
