Painted Poppies Remembrance Day Card

Today is a sombre day, remembering those who died in various wars. May we work together to prevent current and future wars. We will remember them.

Here is a card in honour of Remembrance Day:

Based on another elegant, clean design by American demonstrator Lyssa Zwolanek, this card once again features the Painted Poppies stamp set, Painted Labels Dies, and Peaceful Moments stamp set. If you missed the poppy cards from the last couple of days, just click here and here. These incredibly versatile products lend themselves equally well to birthday, sympathy, and remembrance cards. You can find a clickable list of the products I used at the end of this post.

I started by cutting out a basic white label with the dies, then stamped a single poppy on it with Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured it with Stampin' Blends: Poppy Parade (Dark) and Granny Apple Green (Dark). Next I stamped splatter in Granny Apple Green across the middle of a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White panel. I placed the poppy label over it, to determine when I had applied enough splatter. Then, on a 1/2" x 2 1/2" Basic White scrap, I stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade.

Assembly was quite simple. I added the two stamped pieces to the splatter panel with dimensionals, then attached some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Finally, I adhered the entire panel to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Poppy Parade card base with dimensionals.
