Birthdays are one of the most sought-after card occasions. And so today's card - a beautiful, clean design by American demonstrator Lyssa Zwolanek that I altered slightly - is a celebratory one, perfect for a friend or family member:
The card features the Painted Poppies stamp set, Peaceful Moments stamp set, and Painted Labels Dies. These and other supplies are available in a photo list at the end of this post. Just click on the photo to go to that product in my online store.
To make the card, I first cut out the Basic White label with the dies and stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black. Then I stamped the splatter stamp several times in Granny Apple Green, along the diagonal of a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White panel. I next stamped several flower and leaf images in Tuxedo Black on scraps of Basic White Cardstock, then coloured them with Poppy Parade (Dark) and Granny Apple Green (Dark) Stampin' Blends. I used the dies to cut them out.
To assemble the card, I started with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Granny Apple Green card base, then layered the white panel onto it at an angle. Next I attached the flowers, leaves, and label, popping them up with dimensionals. Finally, I added some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I absolutely love the clean lines of this card - and the colours really pop!
