Decorated with Happiness Card & Blog Hop

Today I'm delighted to welcome folks from all over the Stampin' Up!® world, as part of the fantastic Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop organized by our intrepid leaders, Kylie & Bruno Bertucci in Australia. We're showcasing the cards we make to say thank you to our lovely customers. You'll find the full list of blog links at the bottom of this post.

My card for November features the Decorated with Happiness stamp set and Decorated Pine Dies, available together as a Bundle for a 10% discount. (Ce jeu d'estampes est également disponible en français.) You can find the products I used in a clickable photo list at the end of this post, which will take you to my online store.

I love bright colours, so I chose a colour scheme of Polished Pink, Shaded Spruce, and Basic White with a dash of Granny Apple Green. My goal with these tints and shades of traditional Christmas red and green was to give the card a contemporary twist.

To make this card, I started by using Scalloped Contours Dies to cut a Basic White scalloped rectangle to fit my chosen sentiment. I stamped the sentiment using Polished Pink ink. Then I used the Decorated Pine Dies to cut a bough from Granny Apple Green Cardstock.

For the assembly, I adhered a 2" x 5" strip of Celebrate Everything DSP near the right side of a 3 3/4" x 5" Shaded Spruce panel. I attached the stamped scalloped rectangle next, then layered the bough die cut over it. Then I adhered the whole panel to a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White panel to create a card mat. With dimensionals, I attached the card mat to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Polished Pink card base. The final steps were to add a bow made from Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon and some Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little holiday bling.
