Trimming the Tree Kraft Note Card

Today's card is the 3rd and final instalment in the series featuring the Trimming the Tree stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. (Ce produit est également disponible en français.) Like yesterday's card, this design comes from page 43 of the Annual Catalogue. Then I changed certain elements of it to suit my preferences. If you missed the other cards using Trimming the Tree, you can find them here and here.

Another easy make, this card starts with a card base from Kraft Note Cards & Envelopes. These terrific time-savers come pre-cut and pre-scored. They even include a nifty storage box that you put together, then keep your note card stash in or use as a gift box! I took a card and inserted one panel of it into my Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder, then cranked it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to create the brick wall effect.

Next, I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink onto a 1 1/2" x 2" scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock, then cut a chevron shape in the bottom. With Real Red ink, I stamped the small ornament shapes randomly across and over the edges of a 1 1/2" x 3 1/4" piece of Real Red Cardstock. After that, it was just a matter of layering and adhering the pieces on the card front and adding a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels for some sparkle.
