Charming Sentiments Card

With Thanksgiving Weekend upon us here in Canada, it seems a good time to showcase a card with the theme of being thankful. What are you thankful for, friends?

I'm aware that my list of thanksgiving to the Creator is long - but especially includes my family (human and other creatures), my friends, our home, the beautiful land and waters we call home, and the many creatures who share this place with us.

My thankfulness card features the Charming Sentiments stamp set and floral Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper (DSP in Stampin' Up!® speak):

I started by stamping the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Basic White, then cut it out with scissors. From there, I cut, scored and folded a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Thick White Cardstock base. Then I adhered a 3 3/4" x 5" Hues of Happiness panel to a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White panel. I layered on a 1" x 3 1/2" piece of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock that I'd embossed with the Thanks & Hello Embossing Folders (which work with the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine), plus a length of White Frayed Ribbon

Next I added a length of ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack, securing it to the back of the cardstock with glue dots. I tied a bow in a separate piece of ribbon and attached it with glue dots as well.

Finally, I layered the sentiment onto two different-sized circles cut with Stylish Shapes Dies from Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape cardstock, adding the circles to the card with dimensionals.
