Introducing...My New & Improved Craft Attic!

Friends, I'm thrilled to have completed renovations in the Craft Attic space! If you missed my post about why I was making these changes, read it here.

I knew that I had a very short lull in my schedule in early to mid-October, right before all the holiday classes hit. There would be so many in-person and online events from the end of October thru the end of the year that I'd never have time to renovate. So it was now or never!

I've still got my decor to put up on the walls & shelves. Plus there are multiple boxes to sort through so I can give every item a proper home in my new office/craft space. But - the big infrastructure work of painting & creating a new layout is done!

My husband has also been renovating his office. So I repurposed the white IKEA table you see in the background above, which he no longer needed, to be my staging area for compiling craft class packets and mailouts.

Notice how tall the table is, compared to everything else? I adjusted the extendable legs to their tallest position. This way, I won't have to bend over in a back-breaking way while standing and working. Bonus!

Moving to the left in my room, I placed the red cube system just about where it had been before, as it worked well there.

I keep all my dies, decorative papers, adhesives, and other tools in it. And I use the top to do my paper cutting, scoring, and die cutting.

The new innovation is my tub chair. I had bought the autumn-themed cushion to motivate myself to finish the renovations in time to have both chair and cushion in my space. I'm so glad it is finally there!

On the wall next to the chair is my large cube system, which now contains not just my cardstock (as it did before) but also my stamp sets, extra storage for completed cards, and lots more. The cabinet on the left side contains all my ink pads.

The cube system used to be on the opposite wall, where the white IKEA table is now. This arrangement makes so much more sense, as now all my supplies are right next to my work areas. The flow of the space is much improved, and it looks better, too!

I placed my computer desk and craft table exactly where they'd been before, as they fit well there and the craft table is right next to a window.

My hands-down favourite spot in my newly renovated office, though, is definitely the cozy corner with the tub chair. From the looks of things, I'd say it's Narnia's favourite place, too!

I look forward to sitting here, planning events and writing cards. Well - if I can ever get the chair first, that is! 😉
