Friends, can you believe it is the last day of July?
I'm a bit sad about that, because it is the end of my birthday month, as well as my Christmas in July celebration. I've had such fun with it!
But I have one more holiday card to share with you:
I'm happy to say that this design was a collaborative one with my daughter (almost 13). I wanted a simple-stamping, seaside-related card for my in-person class. And she had the idea of a Christmas tree topped by a sea star. Then we worked together to select the products, colours, and final arrangement. We're both really pleased with how it came together!
To make this card, we started by using the Merriest Trees Dies to cut out a large Christmas tree from Unbounded Beauty DSP.
The Merriest Trees Dies come with enough different-sized trees to create a whole forest, plus a terrific tag to be used on cards or gifts:
We continued by stamping our sentiment from the Merriest Trees Stamp Set in Shy Shamrock Ink onto the tree. That's it for stamping! To assemble, we first adhered a 4" x 5 1/4" Gold Mercury Vellum Specialty DSP panel to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Peach Pie Cardstock card base. Tip: use a dry glue, such as Stampin' Seal or Tear & Tape. Liquid glue does not play well with vellum.
Then we added a piece of Unbounded Beauty DSP, die cut with the Perennial Postage Dies. This DSP showcases all 5 of the newest In Colors™ and can be used year-round:
Using my die cut machine, we cut out a:
- small sea star from Gold Foil Sheets using Seaside Wishes Dies
- small sea star from Shy Shamrock Cardstock using Seaside Wishes Dies
- scallop shell from Pretty in Pink Cardstock using Beach Day Dies
- scallop shell from Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes using Beach Day Dies
