Now, on to our project! Today I want to share with you a card that I made with my team, Creative Cafe, at last night's meet. To make this card, I started by stamping my sentiment from the Beary Cute Stamp Set in Poppy Parade Ink onto a 1 3/4" x 2 1/4" scrap of Basic White Cardstock. I also stamped the two bears in Blueberry Bushel Ink onto Basic White Cardstock scraps, then used Paper Snips scissors to cut them out.Next, I used Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a large circle from Vellum Cardstock. I also die cut a small star from Crushed Curry Cardstock using the Stars at Night Dies.
The star dies are called the Stars at Night Hybrid Embossing Folder, as they also include a full-sized embossing folder. Best of all, they're discounted right now as part of the Last Chance Sale. Here's the whole set, which I've used many times this holiday season on its own and with other items (like today's project):
To assemble, I adhered a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of Merry, Bold & Bright DSP to a 4" x 5 1/4" Poppy Parade Cardstock panel, then added them to a 4 1/4" x 11" Basic White Thick Cardstock card base with Stampin' Dimensionals™. While the DSP has sold out, feel free to substitute with a favourite patterned paper.Next, I cut chevrons in the ends of a 3/4" x 3 1/2" scrap of Blueberry Bushel Cardstock and attached my sentiment to it. I then used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to add the pieces to my card base.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals™, I attached the bears to the vellum circle. I used a Mini Stampin' Dimensional™to adhere the star. Then I flipped over the vellum and applied Stampin' Dimensionals™ and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals™ to it, placing them over the ones I used on the die cuts so that the adhesive would not show through the vellum.
