Magical Meadow Card & Blog Hop

Welcome from Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada! I'm just across the border from Calais, Maine, USA. Both communities are part of the traditional territory and current home of the Passamaquoddy, and I'm grateful that they share this beautiful place with us.

Today we're hopping across the Stampin' Up!® world, with the Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop. I'm honoured to be part of this talented international community!

Please be sure to check out the Blog Hop Links near the end of this post, to see all the other cards.

This month, we're featuring the beautiful Magical Meadow Bundle in both our blog hop and monthly tutorial bundle (available November 1st). A lovely seasonal choice!

I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post.

Here's a look at the bundle:

For my card, I drew the colour scheme of Moody Mauve, Pretty Peacock, and White directly from the coordinating Winter Meadow DSP.

I love this wintry paper - and especially that it is not specifically for Christmas. So it can be used anytime in the winter, and also by those who do not celebrate Christmas.

Here's my card:

To make this card, I started by using the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a large chevron label from Basic White Cardstock. Then I stamped onto it my sentiment from the Bundle in Pretty Peacock Ink.

I then adhered a 3 1/2"x 4 3/4" piece of Pretty Peacock Cardstock to a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of Basic White Cardstock.

Onto these panels, I arranged three small pieces of Winter Meadow DSP. I first adhered a 1 1/2" x 3 1/4" strip exactly in the middle of the panels, using Grid Paper as my guide. I added two more strips, each 1 3/8" x 3 1/4", on either side of the middle DSP section.

The Winter Meadow DSP is so beautiful, it has sold out once already - but is back in stock now:

Using Stampin' Dimensionals™, I attached the panels to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Moody Mauve Cardstock card base. I also used them to adhere my stamped label.

Onto the stamped label I glued the stems and lower leaves of 3 floral and greenery die cuts I'd created from Basic White Cardstock with the Magical Meadow Dies. I chose white to create a wintry look and a contrast against the rather busy DSP pattern I'd chosen.

To finish the card, I used a Mini Glue Dot™ to add a bow made from 2023-2025 In Color™Jute Trim (Moody Mauve), then embellished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a bit of bling.

Friends, I hope you enjoyed my project! Please check out the other cards and also my Special Offers, below.
