Coffee with Friends Simple Card

Happy fall, y'all!

It was such a wet summer in our part of the country - and it stayed hot for so long - that I'm just now realizing that autumn is upon us. I love the season, with its cool nights, warm days, and brilliant colours!

So today's card honours fall, plus another of my favourite things: coffee!

To make this card, I started by die-cutting a small label from Basic White Cardstock, using the Scalloped Contours Dies. Then I stamped my sentiment from the Coffee with Friends Stamp Set onto it in Early Espresso Ink. (This colour is even named for coffee!)

I also stamped my image from the same stamp set, using Early Espresso Ink, onto a 3" Basic White Cardstock square. This stamp set allows for colouring in of the images - but I wanted to keep my card simple. This technique allows for making multiple cards easily, too.

My next step was to adhere the stamped square to a 3 1/4" Petal Pink Cardstock square. 

I then attached a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of Inked Botanicals DSP to a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of Early Espresso Cardstock.

Inked Botanicals DSP can be used at any time of the year, but I find the bright yet earthy colours very autumnal:

To finish the card, I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to attach the larger panels to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Petal Pink Cardstock card base. Then I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ again, this time to add the stamped items to the card. My final step was to embellish with Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
