Irresistible Blooms Card

Friends, I have exciting news for you - today the Online Exclusives products went live! That's a series of brand new items not in any catalogue, available only online! 

To give you a good look at the newest delectable goodies, today's project features the new Irresistible Blooms Bundle plus other items from Stampin' Up!®'s newest Suite: Hello, Irresistible. To make this card, I started with stamping using the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set, then heat embossing the images. With a scrap piece of paper underneath, I used VersaMark Ink to stamp the flower onto a scrap of Basic White Cardstock and the sentiment onto a 3/4" x 3" scrap of Mango Melody Cardstock. I shook white embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders over both images, tapping off the excess and returning it to the jar. Then I used my Heat Tool to emboss the images. (If you've never done this before, you'll know the embossing is done when the texture of the entire image turns from powdery to glossy.)

Using Daffodil Delight (light) and Petal Pink (light and dark) Stampin' Blends, I coloured the embossed flower.

Next, I die cut the following with Irresistible Blooms Dies:

1. embossed flower
2. 3 leaves from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
3. long background piece from Mango Melody Cardstock (Tip: use the Take Your Pick Tool to gently and carefully remove the delicate die cut from the die. If you just take your time, it comes out beautifully.)

I also used Scalloped Contours Dies to cut the largest scalloped rectangle from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Tip: While the rest of this die set, along with all Irresistible Blooms Dies, will work with the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, the largest scalloped rectangle requires the larger Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

To assemble the card, I started by adhering the scalloped rectangle to a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White Cardstock panel. Then I adhered a 3 1/4" x 4 5/8" panel of Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue sparingly to adhere the long Mango Melody background die cut. With Stampin' Dimensionals, I added the entire panel to a 4 1/4" x 11" Petal Pink Cardstock card base. Just take a look at the fabulous new Hello, Irresistible DSP:

Next, I layered up the flower and sentiment centrepiece. First, I positioned the leaves and adhered them to the back of the flower with household tape. Then I adhered the flower to the sentiment piece. (I used Stampin' Seal but any favourite adhesive will work.) I then cut the right side of the sentiment piece at an angle, before adhering it to a scrap of the DSP that was left over when I cut my DSP panel. I trimmed the right side of the DSP to extend slightly beyond the sentiment piece. With Stampin' Dimensionals, I added the centrepiece to my card.

My final step was to embellish the card. I tied a bow in Petal Pink Soft Polyester Ribbon, trimmed it, and attached it with a Mini Glue Dot. Then I added some of the largest Loose Frosted Dots with Mini Glue Dots and some of the medium-sized Loose Frosted Dots with a tiny dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Loose Frosted Dots are part of the new Hello, Irresistible Suite and are beautifully vibrant:

Since the Loose Frosted Dots are already out of stock, you may wish to substitute something else as an embellishment with the Hello, Irresistible DSP until they are available again. Fortunately, the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds match beautifully, and I've added them to the supply list at the end of this post. Here they are:
