Dainty Delight Sending Love Card

Friends, today I have a card for you that fits right in with spring & summer - yet uses the very bold and deep Starry Sky as the basis for its colour palette.

Here's today's card:

To make this card, I started by cutting two tags with the Something Fancy Dies - one in Basic White Cardstock and the other in Starry Sky Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set in Starry Sky Ink. I also stamped the flower image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then coloured it with Daffodil Delight, Starry Sky, and Old Olive Stampin' Blends. I used the Dainty Delight Dies to cut it out.

Next, I cut an 11" length of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon. I used the brush tip of my Starry Sky Stampin' Blends (dark) to colour the ribbon and set it aside to dry. Helpful Hint: Be sure to have cardboard or multiple layers of paper under the ribbon, as the marker will readily bleed through the ribbon.

To assemble, I adhered a 2" x 5" section of Dainty Flowers DSP about 1/8" from the right edge of a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White Cardstock panel. I loosely tore down the right side of a 2 1/2" x 5" Dainty Flowers DSP panel for a distressed look, then adhered it to the Basic White panel. I attached the two tags together and added them to the panel with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added the die-cut flowers with Mini Glue Dots and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

For finishing, I attached the panels to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Starry Sky Cardstock card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. I tied the bow and added it with Mini Glue Dots, then embellished with Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels. Finally, I added a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock panel inside the card.
