Friends, today I have the first in a series of cards using the On the Farm Bundle and Day at the Farm DSP. The DSP is FREE during Sale-A-Bration. Today's card features Window Sheets:
To make this window card, I first cut a 5 1/2" x 6 1/4" Pear Pizzazz Cardstock card base and scored it at 4 1/4". (The smaller flap on the card will be 2" x 5 1/2".) I placed the card in the orientation in the photo above, with the small flap on top. Then I used Stampin' Seal to attach a 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" strip of Day at the Farm DSP to the small flap. After folding the small flap up, I adhered a 4" x 5 1/4" DSP panel to the interior of the card, so that it would be visible from the outside.
I next cut a 3" x 5 1/2" piece of Window Sheets and layered two strips on the bottom of it: a 3/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and a 1/2" x 5 1/4" piece of DSP. I used my On the Farm Dies to cut out animals and a flower from the DSP, then added them to the strips at the bottom of the window. Hint: I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue just on the bottom parts of the die cuts, so that all the glue would be attached to the paper strips and not to the window.
To add the window to the card, I first folded the card's small flap up, then I placed my window on the interior of the card, so that the bottom of it matched the bottom of the card base. I added a line of Stampin' Seal + to the edge of the small flap, then closed it so that it stuck to the window.
I cut a Crushed Curry Cardstock circle with my Stylish Shapes Dies, then stamped my sentiment from the On the Farm Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler Ink. With a doubled length of Linen Thread, I made a bow. I added a Stampin' Dimensional to the back of the Crushed Curry Circle, then stuck my bow to it and added both to the card. As a final step, I added a 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" strip of Basic White Cardstock to the interior of the card (just below the window, when the card is opened), for writing or stamping a greeting.
