Autumn is such a beautiful season, isn't it? I love the gorgeous colours, harvest fruit & veg, and the sense of excitement with all the new routines being formed. At the same time, I'm not *quite* ready to let everything summery go quite yet - hence today's card.
My card today gives a nod to the summery butterflies, while using an autumn colour palette. The best of both seasons! Since the only stamping is the sentiment, it's also a very versatile design that can be tailored to any occasion. Here's how I made it:
- Die cut:
- a Shimmery White label that fits your sentiment, using Stylish Shapes Dies
- two small Shimmery White butterflies, using Brilliant Wings Dies
- an additional small butterfly in Merry Merlot
- Stamp sentiment in Merry Merlot onto label cut from Shimmery White Cardstock.
- Adhere a 3 1/2” x 4 3/4” piece of Rustic Harvest DSP to a 3 3/4” x 5” piece of Basic Black Cardstock. Attach to a 4” x 5 1/4” Crushed Curry panel to create a card mat.
- Adhere body only of each butterfly to card mat. (Multipurpose Liquid Glue works well.) Press firmly. When glue is dry, bend wings gently upward to create a 3D effect. Add Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels as desired.
- Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach label to card mat. Add jewels as desired.
- Cut, score, and fold a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” Merry Merlot card base. Burnish with bone folder.
- Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach card mat to card base.
- Adhere a 4” x 5 1/4” Basic White panel to card’s interior. Add Merry Merlot butterfly in same manner as in step 4. Add jewels as desired.
