Lighthouse Point Card

When Hurricane Fiona passed through the Atlantic region, she left a lot of destruction in her wake. Many people have damaged or even destroyed homes, and still more are literally in the dark, with the power still out. It seems a good time to focus on light. So I have a lighthouse card for you today:

Featuring the Lighthouse Point Stamp Set & Lighthouse Dies (save 10% when bought as a bundle!), this card is my riff on the sample in the Annual Catalogue on page 100. I went with a colour scheme of Sweet Sorbet, Orchid Oasis, Basic Black, and Basic White as an homage to the iconic bright red & white West Quoddy Lighthouse, located at the easternmost point in the USA in Lubec, Maine. I love visiting this light, which is just an hour's drive from our border town home. Here I am on my most recent visit to the lighthouse:

To make the lighthouse card, I cut an Orchid Oasis card base of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2." Then I layered on a 3" x 5 1/2" Basic White panel and a 2 3/4" x 5" panel of 2022-2024 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (Orchid Oasis). I made the lighthouse and sentiment label using die cuts made with Lighthouse Dies, then stamped the label with Whisper White Craft Ink. My final step was adding a little bling to catch the light, using Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
