Abigail Rose Hoodie & Card

With the crisp morning air today, I wore my new Stampin' Up!® hoodie for the first time. It's so warm and cozy!

By the way, did you know that a hoodie is called a bunny hug in Saskatchewan? We learned the term while living there for several years. Who wouldn't want to wear a bunny hug? It just makes me smile.

The sweatshirts are available in sizes S thru 3XL, and the website gives fabric measurements to help with sizing. The floral pattern comes from the Abigail Rose Suite, and I love the coordinating paper. Maybe now I'll be a walking card, ha!

I'd like to share a card with you that's made with the beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP for short) from the Abigail Rose Suite.

For this card, I went with a shabby chic style, with an underlying Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Basic White colour scheme. Then I spiced it up with a dash of the Petal Pink 3/8" Soft Polyester Ribbon. It's one of my faves, with its super-soft texture that lends itself to easy tying. An additional bit of bling and coordinating colour comes from the words cut with the Amazing Thanks Dies from Gold & Rose Gold 6"x6" Metallic Specialty Paper

The structure of the card itself is very simple and could be used with a variety of colours and DSPs. Here's how I built the card:

1. I first cut five 3/4" x 5" strips of Abigail Rose DSP and glued them to a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock panel.

2. Then I adhered my panel to a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Early Espresso Cardstock and wrapped the ribbon around it, securing it on the back with Mini Glue Dots and adding a knot on the front of the card mat I'd created.

3. Next I cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Crumb Cake card base, scored it, then burnished with a bone folder, before adding the card mat to it with dimensionals.

4. Finally, I used the Amazing Thanks Dies to cut word backgrounds from Early Espresso and the words themselves from Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper, glued them together, and added them to the card with Mini Dimensionals.

Check out my Facebook Live demo of this card to see exactly how I put it together. And you can find my supply list here, which can be added to your shopping cart with one click and edited as needed.

Have a wonderful weekend and keep on creating, friends!
