Happy Christmas in July! In honour of my birthday, I'm celebrating Christmas all month long. So for the next 3 weeks, all my card designs will be holiday-related!
I've also got a special Christmas in July Kit Party coming up next week. Get inspired for easy & quick Christmas card crafting! Join my Christmas Kit Party for free here.
Later in the month, Christmas comes early with a BOGO! Join my BOGO group here.
I'll say more about those special events later in this post. But for now, let's get right to today's holiday card, which is also my Card of the Month. I'll send you the pieces to make this card when you make any purchase with me in July:
To make this card, I started by stamping my sentiment onto a 3/4" x 3 3/4" scrap of Basic White Cardstock. I used Cherry Cobbler Ink, which is a great match for the more intensely coloured portions of the berries on the patterned paper. Then I cut a chevron shape in the right side of the sentiment.
Featured in this card - and in all my cards this week - is the stamp set from the terrific Home for the Holidays past Paper Pumpkin Kit. This kit is a great way to get a start on cards for Christmas. It's a win-win: beautiful results AND little effort!
Home for the Holidays is available as a full kit for just $28 or a refill for only $15. Refills include all the supplies in the kit except for the ink spot and stamp set.
Home for the Holidays is one of my all-time favourite Christmas card kits. It even comes with a tube of glitter glue to decorate the snow-covered houses on the kit cards! Check out how lovely the cards turns out:
Next, I adhered a 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" piece of Moody Mauve Cardstock to a 3 1/2" x 5" panel of Basic White Cardstock.Using Stampin' Dimensionals™, I added these panels to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Pretty Peacock Cardstock card base. I also placing a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock writing panel inside the card.
Then I attached four 1" x 3" strips of Winter Meadow DSP to the front of the card. Did you know that this paper is available year-round? It's a lovely choice for both winter and holiday projects. Here are its gorgeous patterns:
To finish the card, I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to adhere the sentiment to the card front. Using a Mini Glue Dot™, I attached a bow made from Pretty Peacock & Gold 3/8" Metallic Ribbon. My final step was embellishing with Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio.
Thanks so much for joining me today! Don't miss my special Christmas in July celebration - details on the different events are below!
