Bee My Valentine Card

Happy Valentine's Day, friends! ❤️

However you spend this special day, I hope it involves being or talking with those you love - whether a partner, relatives, or friends. It's a great day to celebrate those we love!

Here's my Valentine:

To make this card, I started by stamping my sentiment from the Bee My Valentine Bundle in Sweet Sorbet Ink onto a scrap of Pool Party Cardstock. I used Paper Snips to cut out the words.

Onto Basic White Cardstock, I stamped:

• the body of a bee in Daffodil Delight Ink, then used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the stripes over it
• two sets of wings in Pool Party Ink
• a set of antennae in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink

I then used the Bee Builder Punch to punch out all the pieces. It's a terrific punch, with the wings and antennae images doubling as hearts. Here's a look at the whole bundle:

To make the circles, I used Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a large circle from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock and a slightly smaller circle from Vellum Basics Specialty DSP. I adhered the vellum circle to the cardstock circle with a little Stampin' Seal.

I pieced together the bee using my favourite adhesives, then added it to the vellum circle with Stampin' Dimensionals™. 

I also added some of the lovely Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers.

To finish the card, I attached a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of Bee Mine DSP to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Basic White Thick Cardstock card base. Then I added a 3 3/4" x 4" DSP panel on top of it and layered on the rest of the elements with Stampin' Dimensionals™.
