Sweet Citrus Zesty Birthday Grapefruit Card

Friends, today's card is the 3rd in our series featuring the Sweet Citrus Bundle. If you missed previous cards, find the lime card here and find the lemon card here.

With today's card, I decided to venture out to grapefruit, with the design inspired by American demonstrator Patty Bennett's grapefruit card:

I love bright colours, and so I couldn't resist the chance to turn these citrus images into vibrant grapefruit slices! Plus I got to use one of my favourite colours - Flirty Flamingo. 

At the end of this post, I'll include a clickable photo supply list that opens up into my online shop. If you're interested in the Perfectly Pencilled DSP used on today's card, I'd suggest ordering now. It's already on Low Inventory, far ahead of its scheduled retirement on May 1.

Here's how to make the card:

1. Stamp sentiment from Sweet Citrus Stamp Set in Mango Melody Ink onto the scalloped rectangle, cut with the 2nd smallest rectangle in Scalloped Contours Dies.
2. Stamp onto Basic White Cardstock:
1. Citrus outlines in Mango Melody Ink
2. Citrus interiors in Flirty Flamingo Ink
3. Leaves in Granny Apple Green Ink
3. Cut out citrus and leaf images with Sweet Citrus Dies or Paper Snips scissors.
4. Using Hybrid Embossing Folder from the Sweet Citrus Bundle, emboss a 3 3/4” x 5” Flirty Flamingo panel.
5. Adhere Flirty Flamingo panel to a 4” x 5 1/4” Basic White Cardstock panel.
6. Affix panels to a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” Basic Black Cardstock card base.
7. Adhere a 1 3/4” x 5” Perfectly Pencilled strip to card front.
8. Attach stamped label to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
9. Layer on grapefruit and leaf images, popping up images with Stampin’ Dimensionals as desired.
10. Embellish with Classic Matte Dots.
11. Attach a 3 3/4” x 5” Basic White Cardstock panel to interior of card.
