Country Floral Lane Valentine Card

Happy Heart Day, friends! 💘

I've always loved Valentine's Day. When I was growing up, my parents made it a day to celebrate love in general, not just romance, and so it was always a fun gift and card occasion. Don't you just love all the red, white, pink, and heart-themed items?

Today I see Valentine's Day as a time to enjoy all the relationships we have with those  special to us - including friends, family members, pets, and significant others. And so I have an easy Valentine's Day card for you today:

This card features the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Share a Milkshake Bundle. I'll include a clickable photo supply list for you at the end of this post. To make this card, I started by using the Stylish Shapes Dies in my Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to cut a Basic White Cardstock label that fit my sentiment. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Share a Milkshake Bundle in Sweet Sorbet Ink.

Next, I cut, scored, and used my Bone Folder to fold a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Sweet Sorbet Cardstock card base. I added a 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White Cardstock panel to the card's interior. If you need Sweet Sorbet Cardstock, a good choice is to buy the 2022-2024 In Color Cardstock Assortment, as it includes 4 sheets of each of the 5 colours:

To create the decorated panel on the card front, I started with a 3" x 4 1/4" Basic White Cardstock panel. Then I used my Stampin' Seal to add three 4" long strips of Country Floral Lane DSP, in widths of 1 1/4", 3/4" and 1/2". I love this beautiful DSP, which can be used throughout the year and not just at Valentine's Day:

I then punched a large Sweet Sorbet heart from the DSP using the Country Bouquet Punch. (You could also use scissors to cut it out.) I lined up my label and heart on the panel and then trimmed the label as needed, before adhering the heart to it with Mini Glue Dots. I added the two pieces to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish the card, I embellished with Heart Pearls, which come in lovely glossy white, milky white, and pearl white:
