Friends, today's the first day of what's predicted to be a week-long stretch of above-freezing temperatures here in Saint Stephen. So what better time to think about the coming spring? Not long now!
To help you think spring thoughts, I have a fresh, clean design today featuring beautiful florals:
Featuring the Bottled Happiness Stamp Set, this card is a return to the Annual Catalogue that came out last May and will be retiring a couple of months from now. Since items in the Annual sometimes sell out before retirement, right now is a great time to pick up your favourites - and any items you may have missed.
To make the card, I stamped the leaves from the Bottled Happiness Stamp Set in Parakeet Party Ink, positioning my stamp toward the top of a 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" Basic White Cardstock panel. With Sweet Sorbet Ink, I stamped the flowers, lining them up with their Parakeet Party centres. Tip: line up 2 flowers with their centres, then find a 3rd as a final check. I then stamped the bottle in Sweet Sorbet Ink. Here's a look at the full Bottled Happiness Stamp Set:
On a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock, I stamped the large teabag tag from the Cup of Tea Stamp Set in Parakeet Party Ink. I stamped the sentiment from the Bottled Happiness Stamp Set inside the tag, using Sweet Sorbet Ink. I cut out the teabag tag with Teacup Dies. (It's an easy cut with scissors if you don't have the dies.).
To assemble the card, I started by cutting, scoring and folding a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” card base made from Basic White Thick Cardstock. I burnished the card base fold with my Bone Folder. Next, I glued the stamped Basic White panel to a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Parakeet Party Cardstock. With Stampin' Dimensionals, I attached the panels to my card base.
To finish the card, I tied a bow in White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, attaching it to the bottle with a Mini Glue Dot. Finally, I added the tag using Stampin' Dimensionals.
