Need a quick, last-minute holiday card? Read on for an easy make, with suggestions on how to make it either super-simple or upscaled! Watch my Facebook Live Demo here.
Today's card features Last Chance Sale items that will disappear by their retirement on January 4 or whenever they sell out, whichever comes first. These items include:
- Leaves of Holly stamp set - save 10% when you buy it as a bundle with the Holly Berry Dies)
- Painted Christmas DSP - on sale for just $6.60!
- Gold 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon - a bargain at only $4.40
To make this card, I began by embossing a 4” x 5 1/4” Real Red Cardstock panel with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. (If you don't have an embossing folder, a simple rectangle will work just fine and keep it simple.) I then used Scalloped Contours Dies to cut the 2nd largest rectangle from Painted Christmas DSP. (Again, a rectangle would work here, if you don't have the dies.) With the rectangle in landscape orientation, I cut off the right-hand edge at the dotted line.
Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Leaves of Holly stamp set in Real Red ink onto a 1” x 3 1/4” scrap of Basic White Cardstock. Using a Blending Brush inked lightly with Whisper White Craft Ink, I made circular motions on the embossed Real Red panel, to add a touch of white to the bricks. (Simply leave out this step if you don't have White Craft Ink.)
