Friends, after my illness last week, Facebook Live is back!
I have an easy summer make for you today, with a holiday theme. I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post.
Here's my card:
The star of the show here is the brand new One Horse Open Sleigh DSP. It's available for a limited time as an Online Exclusive, not listed in any catalogue.
To create my primary colour scheme of shades of red, yellow and blue - rather unusual for a holiday card - I simply pulled colours from the DSP. I used Real Red, Lemon Lolly, and a combo of Misty Moonlight & Boho Blue.
Here's a look at this gorgeous paper, which makes card-making a snap:
To make this simple stamping card, I started by using the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut the largest scalloped rectangle from Misty Moonlight Cardstock.
I used the Something Fancy Stamp Set to stamp a sentiment onto the Boho Blue label in Real Red Ink.
The Something Fancy Stamps & Dies are versatile for year-round crafting:
To assemble, I adhered a 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" panel of One Horse Open Sleigh DSP to the inside of the scalloped rectangle. Then I fed a length of Real Red Ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack through the holes in the scalloped rectangle, securing on the back with Mini Glue Dots™.
Next, I used Stampin' Dimensionals™ to add the scalloped rectangle to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Lemon Lolly Cardstock card base. I adhered the two labels together, then attached them to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals™. I added a bow, attaching with Mini Glue Dots™. My final step was to embellish with Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems.
I hope you enjoyed this project, friends! Don't miss my Summer Specials below, including a Kit Sale that started today!
