Inked & Tiled Thank You Card & Blog Hop

Warm greetings from Canada! In case we haven't yet met, I'm Julie Golding Page, an Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator living on the Atlantic coast of Canada. Our town of Saint Stephen is just across the tidal Skutik/Saint Croix River from Calais, Maine, USA.

Friends, today I'm excited to participate in Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights Gallery!

We all blog hop across the Stampin' Up!® world, seeing multitudes of fantastic cards. Then everyone who views the cards gets to vote for their favourites!

Vote for my card here.

The theme for our cards is thank you. A handmade card is a lovely way to offer a word of kindness and gratitude. Here's my card:

To make this card, I started by die cutting:

  • a small tag from Basic White Cardstock using Designer Tags Dies
  • a scalloped rectangle from Basic White Cardstock using Scalloped Contours Dies
I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post.

Here's a look at the Designer Tags Dies, which add an elegant touch to any project.

I then stamped my sentiment from the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set onto the tag in Sweet Sorbet Ink.

Next, I used 2022-2024 In Color™Stampin' Write Markers to colour on a flower stamp in Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party. I stamped the image onto Basic White Cardstock and cut it out with Paper Snips Scissors.

Stampin' Write Markers are a great way to add multiple colours to a single stamp. Here's the 2022-2024 In Color™ pack.

From there, it was all about assembly. I first adhered a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of sparkly 2022-2024 In Color™ Textured Specialty Paper to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Basic Black Cardstock card base. I like the way this paper adds a bit of bling to the project.

I then added a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" panel of Glorious Gingham DSP in Parakeet Party. I chose this paper for its summery picnic cloth overtones and as a complementary colour to Sweet Sorbet.

Next, I layered on the scalloped rectangle, flower cut-out and tag, using Stampin' Dimensionals™.

I created a bow using Black & White Gingham Ribbon and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot™.

My final step was to embellish with Festive Pearls.
